Sherlock strode to the door, grabbing his coat and scarf as he went. He paused in the corridor to don it outwear. When he looked up, he saw Molly standing in front of him.

“So…” Molly’s voice was trembling with nerves.

“John bought it,” Sherlock said as he adjusted his coat. “Good work. Are you ready for the next part?”

Molly gave him a small nod. She looked up at him, her mouth curved down in a frown. “Are you ready?”

The corner of Sherlock’s mouth curved in a wry smile. “I have to be.” He grasped Molly’s arms. He then leaned in, pressing his mouth to her forehead. “Thank you, Molly Hooper.”

Sherlock x Molly Week: Day 4 Why do you ship Sherlock/Molly

→ I don’t know how else to explain it other than it feels right. Also there really isn’t anything that I could say that hasn’t already been said and said well. So I tried to pick a reason and show it.

This is late, but what the hell…

First off, let me just say that we abroad the sherlolly ship are incredibly lucky to have such gifted and talented artist among us. It’s difficult to try and pick a favourite piece since they are all so wonderful. I literally squee with delight every time I see new fanart for this pairing—and a lot of times I’m in public, so I get some strange stares.

Anyway, one of the artist that has stood out to me is Lexie. She is amazing and blows me away with her talent every time. 

But, seriously, I love all of you sherlolly artist out there. As someone who has a hard time drawing stick figures I am in awe of you guys. 

Thank you so much for all for great you work you all do and for sharing it with us. I can’t wait to see what the sherlolly artist have in store for us in the future.

Sherlolly Week Day Four: Why do you ship this? 

I have to start by saying that I love Molly Hooper. I always have. When series one aired, I wasn’t thinking in terms of ships, though, just kind of enjoying the dynamics of the show and not going much beyond what was on screen. At the time, I was in WAAAAY deep in shipping another show, so Sherlock was my ship-free-zone and I spent most of my time on the outside of the fandom, but reblogging pretty stuff for the show and falling in love w/ Benedict, etc etc.

Series Two changed all that. I think this is for several reasons, but mostly we got to see Molly’s character development. Once I actually understood her, I shipped it SO FREAKIN HARD. Because I realized that she was a character that would compliment Sherlock in a similar but quieter way to John’s character. While Sherlock at this point is all frantic chaos and burning intellect, Molly is quiet and steady strength and a soft voice and I think that he can bring out her fiercer side and she would mellow him out to the level of normal human beings.

I think what really appeals to me is that this had POTENTIAL because they have very clearly stated that BBC Sherlock ISN’T ACD’s character, this is a man who has the POTENTIAL to be the one that was written by ACD, but he’s not done cooking yet. Which means that if you change the variables at this point, he really is someone else entirely and that’s a delicious thought for me. And being that Molly is NOT part of the Original Recipe, I find that she fits with THIS version of Sherlock so well.

There’s a reason I’m an artist: I’m not good with words, so I don’t know if this has come through or not. Basically: they are good for each other and it makes me happy. The end.
